Cross-cultural design

On Monday the 26th of April, the Chinese program of L’Ecole de design Nantes Atlantique launched a new design workshop. Dedicated to the brand « Haier », it gathers 35 design students from 5 different schools:

-   Tsinghua University 清华
-   Tongji University 同济
-   Shandong Art and Design University 山东工业美术学院
-   Qingdao University 青岛大学

On Friday the 2^nd of April, Chinese students of Qingdao University taught arts and cultural customs to students of the China based design school of L’Ecole de design Nantes Atlantique.

All of them had a lot of fun…

On the 16th of March, the French 4th year students of the Chinese Campus of L’Ecole de design Nantes Atlantique met the Chinese students of Qingdao University. Specialised in French language, these students were welcome to meet with the French and find a partner to lead further on an anthropological study in China. [Read more →]

On Thursday the 25th of February, the 4th year students presented their design internships in front of the jury. [Read more →]

On Tuesday the 23rd of February, 5th year students presented their final year projects to the jury. This one was made of 4 people:
- Michel Grenier, Executive director at UTSEUS Sino-European School of Technology,
- Marie-Chantal Piques, Consumer goods Manager at Ubifrance (French Embassy),
- Thibault Poyet, Design Manager at CBD (Beijing),

On Monday the 22nd of February, the China based students of L’Ecole de design Nantes Atlantique started class again.

Program:

Cultural studies: Anthropology, Chinese, English, Communication, Chinese Culture
Business studies: Strategic Marketing, Intellectual Property
Design projects: 4 projects with different companies such as Supor

From the 4th to the 9th of January, SONG Guannan, the assistant and interpreter of the Chinese campus of L’Ecole de design Nantes Atlantique, came and visit the France based design school. Since she had never been there, she really appreciated meeting her colleagues. She will think of them back in China. [Read more →]

From the 23^rd to the 27^th of November 2009, the administration team of the Chinese Campus of L’Ecole de design Nantes Atlantique came and visit several Qingdao based design school to explain them how design teaching is organised in France.

Since their education system, in China, is really different, students from Qingdao Technological University 青岛理工大学,  Ocean University of China 青岛海洋大学, Qingdao University of Science & Technology 青岛科技大学 and Qingdao University 青岛大学 were really interested in these presentations. [Read more →]
